Murder investigation launched in Southwark

A murder investigation has been launched after the death of a man in
Southwark.

Police were called to a flat in Frederick Road, SE17, at 22:37hrs on
Sunday 9 December following reports of a disturbance.

Officers arrived and forced entry to the address.

The body of a man, believed to be aged in his 30’s, was found inside the
address.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has yet to be identified and next of kin have yet to be informed.

A post-mortem examination has been scheduled to take place on Tuesday 11
December at Greenwich Mortuary.

The Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating.

Detectives retain an open mind on motive for the attack.

Enquiries continue. No arrests.
