A 25-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital following a fight in Nottingham city centre.

It happened outside the Coco Lounge bar in George Street at around 1.10am today (Sunday 16 December 2012).

The victim was taken to the Queens Medical Centre with a suspected stab wound to the abdomen.

The suspect is a black man who is around 5ft 8ins tall.

A cordon is in place at the scene and George Street will be closed for most of the morning while police conduct their enquiries.
