Hotel rooms broken into at Babington House

December 5, 2012, 3:01 pm

An investigation has been launched after hotel rooms were broken into and property stolen.

The incident at Babington House, near Frome, occurred on Saturday afternoon (December 1). The offender spent time in the bar from 1.30pm and at around 4.30-5pm he used a fire extinguisher to break into two bedrooms and steal property including platinum earings, an iPad and iPhone.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his late 30s or early 40s and clean shaven. He was around 5’6 to 5’7 tall, and he had a closely shaved head with very short light blonde hair. He had a stocky build and big chest as if he worked out. He had a boxer’s nose and spoke in a Westcountry accent.

He had two tattoos – a small black tattoo of a web between the thumb and forefinger on his left hand and a face-like image on his inside right calf.

Anyone with information about the burglary should contact PC Sarah Child on 101.
