Appeal for witnesses to sexual assault in Harborne

December 5, 2012, 11:16 am

Police are searching for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in Harborne.

The 22-year-old victim was walking along Cross Farm Road when she was approached by a man who grabbed her and then ran off.

He is described as white, aged over 20 and of slim build. He was wearing a dark coloured waterproof jacket with the hood up and other dark coloured clothing.

Detective Sergeant Michelle Thurgood, from Birmingham Police, said: “This assault happened at a time when there may have been other people around in the area who saw the attacker.

“Although the victim was uninjured she was left shaken by the attack.

“We want to hear from anybody who can provide us with information about the man responsible.”
