Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man indecently assaulted a teenager in Uttoxeter.

The victim, a 16-year-old girl from Uttoxeter, was walking along High Street when she was approached by a man at around 7.10am on Monday 3 December.

The man indecently assaulted her before walking away from town along High Street.

Fortunately, the victim was not injured during the attack but was left shaken.

The offender is described as a white man, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, 5ft 7ins, stocky, with fair shaven hair. He had a pale complexion, a wide jaw line, wearing a waist length black zip-up coat, dark jogging bottoms with a blue stripe down the side and a blue pattern at the bottom of the right leg, and a hood or dark hat.
Officers are also seeking a potential witness who was seen walking away from town. He is described as a white elderly man with grey hair, wearing a dark rain jacket.

Witnesses to the incident or anyone who thinks they may know who the suspect or possible witness are, is asked to contact PC Kayleigh Hutton at Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 195 of December 3. Alternatively, they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
