Witness appeal after driver fails to stop after crash

Police have appealed for help from the public to find a driver who failed to stop after a road crash near Braintree in which another driver was injured.

The incident happened at Queenborough Lane, Rayne near the A120, at about 10pm on Sunday November 25.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a silver Ford Fiesta on its side in a ditch. The female driver, who had been unconscious when paramedics arrived, was taken to Broomfield Hospital.

There are no details about the other car which was travelling from Rayne towards the A130.

Any witnesses, or the driver involved, should contact the investigating officer Pc Allan Discombe at Stanway road policing unit on 101.
