Two further arrests re: Lewisham High Street murder

Officers investigating the murder of 22-year-old Thierry
Christian-Gnanakumar, in Lewisham High Street, SE13 on 10 November have
made two further arrests.

[E] a man aged 26 and [F] a man aged 23, were arrested on Thursday, 22
November on suspicion of murder. Both remain in custody at a south
London police station.

Police were called at around 21.20hrs on 10 November to reports of a
disturbance in Lewisham High Street SE13.

Thierry Christian-Gnanakumar, 22, of Catford was taken to hospital by
ambulance suffering serious injuries. He died in the early hours of
Sunday 11 November. Next of kin have been informed.

A post-mortem examination took place on Sunday, 11 November at Greenwich
Mortuary and gave cause of death as severe blunt force trauma to the
head and face.

An inquest opened on Thursday, 15 November, at Southwark Coroner’s
Court.

An incident room is open at Lewisham under Detective Chief Inspector
Graeme Gwyn of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command (HSCC).

+ Three men [A/B/C] were arrested in connection with this incident and
was bailed to a date in late November.

[A] was NFA’d

[B/C] were rebailed to a date in early in December

On 16 November a fourth man [D] was arrested and charged with the
murder.
