November 14, 2012, 5:23 pm

Police appeal for witnesses after power tools were stolen from a building site in Buxton.

On Thursday, November 8 at around 9pm two new build houses were broken into on Macclesfield Road.

Access was gained via a footpath that runs between Macclesfield Road and Lismore Park.

High value power tools were stolen and placed in wheelie bins to transport.

PC Simon Clarke from Buxton police station said: “We would like to appeal to anyone who saw two wheelie bins being wheeled around Buxton that evening to contact us. Also if anyone has noticed any bins that have been abandoned near their property.

“I would like to remind members of the public to remove valuable items from building sites and ensure that all sheds and outbuildings are left secure.”
