Police investigate Boroughbridge tool theft

Boroughbridge police are appealing for information following the theft of power tools near the town.

They were stolen from a property in Nun Monkton between 6.30pm on Monday 12 and 6.30am Tuesday 13 November 2012.

The stolen tools include chainsaws, strimmers, a hedge trimmer, a blower, a power pruner, a drill manufactured by Stihl and a CAT scanner, generator and two green 20 litre jerry cans.

PC Neil Roworth, of Boroughbridge Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you can help to identify those responsible for this theft I urge you to contact the police or Crimestoppers straight away.

“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have been offered power tools for sale in unusual circumstances and ask them to get in touch.”
