Operation Commitment: 21 Arrests Made

Another instalment of Operation Commitment saw police in Redcar and Cleveland targeting those suspected of being involved in criminal activity within the district.

21 people were arrested during the operation last Friday, 16th November.

The suspects were aged between 15 and 59 and were arrested on suspicion of various offences, such as burglary and criminal damage.

Eight people were charged, nine people were bailed pending further enquiries, two people were cautioned and a further two were released without charge.

Detective Sergeant Dave Pettrick, said: “Yet again we have had huge success with Operation Commitment.

“We work closely with partner agencies and we work to whatever intelligence we have received. Members of the public are a great help and we would encourage the community to continue their support.

“We will continue to pursue those suspected of being involved in criminality across the district and we will take action against those who are wanted.”
