Man left scarred after assault

November 19, 2012, 3:01 pm

Police have released footage of two men they think have information about a serious assault in Nottingham city centre.

The men were pictured outside the G Spot bar, in Heathcoate Street, Goose Gate, moments before a 21-year-old Arnold man was assaulted inside.

A man entered the premises just before midnight on 5 July 2012, approached his victim and hit him across the face with a wooden pole. The force of the impact was so great, the pole snapped in two.

The attacker fled the bar leaving his victim needing stitches to cuts to his mouth and gums.

The victim said: “I had just finished work and was enjoying a quiet drink when this man came in and knocked me into next week for reasons that are beyond me.

“My teeth were knocked backwards into my mouth. It was a mess. Im having to return for some more treatment and have a scar.”

The pictured men, or anyone with any information about the attack, are asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
