Man arrested after drugs warrant executed in Warrington

man was arrested after police raided a property in Warrington last week.

Officers from Warrington West Neighbourhood Policing Unit executed a warrant at an address in Denver Drive on 9th November at around 7.50am.

Once inside the property officers discovered a quantity of suspected Cannabis resin. This was seized and taken away for forensic examination.

A 19-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply. He was subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.

Sergeant Gordon Jack, of Warrington West Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said:

This latest warrant is part of ongoing efforts by Warrington West NPU to tackle the issue of drug related crime in the local community. We will not tolerate any sort of behaviour that has a negative effect on the lives of others.

The warrant was executed as a result of information from members of the public. We hope that the efforts of local officers will reassure the community that we are listening to what they are saying and taking action where necessary.
