Further teen charged in connection with 16-year-old Ben Morutare death

An Eighteen-Year-Man will appear at court next month charged in connection with the death of 16-year-old Ben Mortuare in Smethwick.

The 18-year-old, from West Bromwich, was yesterday (Monday) charged with the violent disorder. He has been bailed to appear before Warley Magistrates Court in December.

Ben died after being fatally stabbed outside the Home Guard & Old Comrades Club on Oldbury Road, Smethwick, on Saturday 28 July.

Two people have been charged with murder and four other people have been charged with violent disorder.

The investigation continues and officers continue to appeal for help to identify people they want to speak to as part of the inquiry.
