Community invited to question Solihull’s neighbourhood inspectors online

November 23, 2012, 11:42 am

The two inspectors responsible for neighbourhood policing across the borough are inviting the public to question them about policing in Solihull.

On Tuesday 27 November Inspectors Keith Portman and Darren Wilson are inviting the public to pose questions or raise any issues that affect themselves or their family as part of a live online web chat.

Between 5pm and 6.30pm people from Chelmsley Wood, Shirley, Castle Bromwich to Balsall Common – and all of the other areas falling under Solihull Police – will be able to pose questions to the inspectors.

There is no need to register or login and you can remain completely anonymous.

The web chat can be found by clicking on this link.

And for the first time the web chat will also be available on the Solihull Facebook site.

You will also be able to see the questions that other people are asking. If you cant tune in between 5pm and 6.30pm a list of the questions will be displayed below.

Inspector Portman said: “There are a number of ways that the public can get in touch with us if they need to raise any issues. They can visit their local station, attend a meeting run by their local policing team, like our Facebook page or even follow myself and Darren on twitter.

Inspector Wilson added: “It really doesnt matter how you choose to get in touch, or whatever the issue is. If there is something affecting you, your friends or your family then please get in touch.”
