CCTV released after Poundland robbery

November 28, 2012, 10:08 am

Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after tens of thousands of pounds was stolen from Poundland in Kings Heath.

Two men barged their way into the shop after buzzing a trade entrance at the back of the store at around 9am on Sunday 11 November. They then threatened staff, took the cash and ran off.

One of the men is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall and of stocky build.

Detective Sergeant Julie Woods, of Force CID, said: “We want to hear from anyone who can identify the man in the image and help us with our investigation.

“A large amount of cash was stolen from the store and we would ask anyone with any information about what happened, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward and contact us.”

Anyone with information about the robbery should call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
