CCTV images released following assault in Manchester night club – city centre

November 19, 2012, 4:54 pm

Police have released CCTV images of three men wanted in connection with an assault at a nightclub in Manchester city centre.

Just before 4am on Sunday 7 October 2012, a 28-year-old man and 25-year-old man were inside The No 1 Club, Central Street when they were approached by two men.

One of the men punched the 28-year-old in the face before the same victim was struck by the second man.

At some point during the scuffle, a third man, not thought to be known to the two offenders, attacked the two victims and left them with cuts to the face and neck.

The first man is described as wearing a shirt with white collars and cuffs. The second is described as being white, wore a t-shirt and had tattoos on his arm.

The third man is described as being Asian, in his mid 20s, of slim build, around 5ft 6in tall and had short dark hair.  He was wearing dark clothing and is believed to have been holding something during the disturbance.

Detective Constable Emma Taylor from North Manchester CID said: “Due to the cuts both victims received to their faces, we believe the third man held a sharp implement in his hand during the attack.

“We believe the original attack was unprovoked and are unsure why the third man got involved.

“I would ask people to take a good look at the three images and if you recognise the men or witnessed the assault at the club, please get in touch.”
