Assault leaves man with fractured cheekbone

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Chelmsford which left a man with a fractured cheekbone.

A 22-year-old man from Bedford was attacked outside McDonalds on the high street just before 4am on Sunday, November 11, 2012.

He was taken by paramedics to Broomfield Hospital where he underwent surgery.

A 21-year-old man from Brentwood has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail pending further enquires until Tuesday, January 22, 2013.

Anyone with information in connection with this assault is urged to contact detectives at Chelmsford police station on 101.
