West Midlands: Teenager critically ill after being stabbed in leg

Police have sealed off an area of Bartley Green after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the leg late last night (21 September).
The teenager’s injury was discovered when officers were called to Jiggins Lane at around 10:17pm to a report of a disorder.
He was taken to hospital where he currently remains in a critical but stable condition.Three people aged 16, 18 and 29 have been arrested on suspicion of assault and continue to help police with their enquiries this morning.

A large area of Jiggins Lane has been cordoned off to allow scene investigators to carry out forensic examinations.
Detective Sergeant Neal Hudson, from the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Harborne, said: “We’re still in the very early stages of this inquiry and are currently trying to piece together what exactly happened last night.
“What we do know is that we’ve got a young lad seriously ill in hospital and we need to know who put him there.
“I want anyone who has any information about what happened to come forward and speak to us as soon as possible.”
