Sussex: witnesses appeal after man found with stab wounds

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found lying on the ground with stab wounds and other injuries in Eastbourne on Saturday (23 September).
Police and ambulance were called to Grand Parade just before 3am and found the 23-year-old injured victim. He was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital, where he was treated and has since been discharged.
Two men, a 27-year-old from Thornton Heath, Surrey, and a 26-year-old from Eastbourne, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm on Saturday, questioned and released on bail until 1 November.
Detective Constable John Steven from Eastbourne CID said: “We are trying to establish the exact circumstances that led up to this assault and are appealing to anyone who was in the area between Elms Avenue and Grand Parade and witnessed the assault to please get in touch.”
