Sussex Police: e-fit of a suspect for an aggravated burglary in Worthing

Police have released an efit of a suspect for an aggravated burglary in Worthing earlier this month.
Around 9.30pm on Wednesday 5 September three masked men smashed their way into the main house of Woodland Stables in Titnore Lane.
The property was occupied by a 61-year-old woman who was asleep in her bed at the time. The men have pulled her from her bed, tied her feet together and her hands behind her back and demanded money from her.This ordeal lasted about 10 minutes before the men left, leaving the occupant bound on her bedroom floor. Neighbours came quickly and raised the alarm. Fortunately the victim was not seriously injured, however she was left extremely shaken by what happened.Police are appealing to anyone with information about this incident to come forward.
The suspect in the efit is described as a white man aged in his late 30s, with a round face, white teeth and was wearing a black balaclava which showed all of his face.
Detective Andy Hobden said: “This was a harrowing ordeal for the victim to go through, she was alone in her home and subjected to a frightening ordeal. If any recognises the efit then contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Banton.”
