South Yorkshire: Thirty arrests in day of impact tackling burglary

On Tuesday, 25 September, South Yorkshire Police arrested thirty people in a day of impact tackling burglary across the county.
Thirty people were arrested, six charged for burglary and seven properties searched, as well nine vehicles being seized for various offences.
A number of police operations took place, including raids, patrols, ANPR operations targeting vehicles that are known to be linked to burglary and searching second-hand dealers for stolen property.

Officers were also distributing crime prevention leaflets to members of the public, to advise them on how to secure their home and to be cautious of doorstep callers.
Assistant Chief Constable Max Sahota who lead this day of action said; “As a Force we will continue with Impact as a commitment to our communities to tackle key crimes and target criminals in South Yorkshire who make peoples lives a misery. Not only will we bring these offenders before the courts but we will also seek to seize their assets, which are often illegally gained.”
