Man in life-threatening condition following a shooting in Wath-upon-Dearne
This morning, South Yorkshire Police are continuing to investigate a shooting that occurred last night on Doncaster Road, in Wath-upon-Dearne, Rotherham.
Emergency services were called to a house, next door to a takeaway, on Doncaster Road at 8.40pm yesterday evening, after the ambulance service received reports of a man with a gunshot wound.
A 42-year-old local man was taken to hospital last night with life-threatening injuries. His condition remains unchanged this morning.

Detectives investigating the incident believe this was an isolated targeted attack. Officers are on the scene and enquiries continue.
Police are appealing for people who were in the Doncaster Road area between 8.15pm and 9pm last night, to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1146 of 20 September, if they have seen anything suspicious.
