Ramsbottom attack further arrests made

A further man has been arrested in relation to a serious assault in Ramsbottom
The 24-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in custody.
A 19-year-old man who was previously arrested, also on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, is also still being questioned by detectives.

Two other men previously arrested, aged 21 and 23, have been bailed pending further inquiries.
At about 11pm on Friday 7 September 2012, police were called to the junction of Bridge Street and Bolton Street following reports of a fight.
Officers attended and found a 32-year-old man unconscious. He had been punched to the floor and then punched and kicked while he was down, including being kicked to the head.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to a bleed on the brain and he remains in the intensive care unit at Hope Hospital, in a critical but stable condition.
