Police name murder victim

Officers investigating a murder in Oakham have named the victim.
The body of 42-year-old Neil Corby was found in a ground floor flat in Gaol Street on the morning of Thursday, September 20.
Officers were called to the flat just after 7.30am on Thursday.

A post mortem examination has been carried out and officers are awaiting further test results.
Four men, aged 26, 33, 33 and 47, have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.
In a statement, Mr Corbys family said: “On behalf of Neils family we would like to thank our friends and family for their support. We wish to be left alone to grieve in private.”
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Castle, who is leading the investigation said: “Enquiries into this incident are ongoing. We are still trying to piece together the exact movements of Mr Corby in the hours before his death.
“It is vital that anyone who saw or heard anything out of the ordinary in the Gaol Street area between 8pm on Wednesday, September 19 and 7am the following morning gets in touch with us as soon as possible.
