Police are appealing for witnesses to a street robbery in the Dukinfield area of Tameside.

At around 10.20pm on Sunday 9 September 2012, an 18 year-old man was walking along King Street, near to the Co-Op Chemist on the junction with Lime Street, when he was approached by two men.

He was grabbed by the arm and one of the men threatened him, saying “give us your phone or we’ll slice you.”

The victim handed over his Samsung Galaxy phone before the two men ran off in the direction of Mary Street before disappearing into the Central Estate flat complex.

The first man is described a white, of thin build, around 18 years old, approximately 5ft 4in tall and had a wide jaw. He wore a plain black hooded tracksuit with the hood pulled up.

The second man is described as being white aged, 18 years old and around 5ft 10in tall. He wore a black tracksuit with a grey and blue body warmer jacket over the top.

Detective Constable Andrew Edward said: “Although the victim did not see a weapon, he feared for his safety and thought he would be hurt if he did not give into their demands.

“Thankfully he was not hurt but has been left shaken by his ordeal. If anyone witnessed the robbery or recognise the description of the men, please contact us.”
