September 21, 2012, 10:44 am

Police in Telford are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Snedshill.

The incident occurred at Priorslee Stores on Priorslee Road on Wednesday 19 September.

At just after 2.20pm a man entered the shop and demanded money from a female member of staff.

The man was in the shop for a short time before he then made off with the money that was handed over.

A police spokesman said:

“The female member of staff felt threatened by this man – who is said to have been holding a knife – and handed the money to him.

“He then made off down an alleyway onto Hazel Way and it is thought he then got into a vehicle before fleeing the scene.

“Officers investigating this incident are keen to hear from anyone who was in and around Priorslee Store between 2pm and 2.45pm, and are also very keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a car making off from Hazel Way just before 2.30pm.

“Two men – aged 34 and 22 – and a 24-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with this robbery and they are currently in custody at Malinsgate Police Station.

“Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact Acting Detective Sergeant Allan Black in Telford as soon as possible on 101 or 0300 333 3000, quoting incident number 361S 190912.
