Operation Harvest the first week results

- Arrested 412 offenders for theft and violence related crime
- Of these 116 were wanted offenders for stealing and violence offences
- Executed 56 search warrants and seized almost £70k under the Proceeds of Crime Act
- Visited 273 licensed premises, 95 scrap yards and 201 second hand shops to ensure they were complying with licensing and trading legislation and not involved in handling stolen goods
- Made home visits on 190 repeat domestic abuse victims to ensure that abusive partners had not returned to harass them
- Made home visits on 758 known thieves to ensure they were complying with bail and curfew conditions and not being drawn back to offending
- Made roadside checks on more than a thousand vehicles that led to 73 of them being seized, 422 fixed penalty notices being issued for dangerous driving and more than £4k being recovered in outstanding fines
- Prosecuted 418 drivers for speeding in a 30mph zone
- Provided face to face crime reduction advice to more than 3,200 residents
