Norfolk: Drugs found on suspected drunk driver

A 41-year-old man from Bradwell has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and possession of cocaine with intent to supply following an incident in the early hours of Sunday, 23 September.
Police were alerted to a possible drink driver leaving a bar and an officer attempted to stop the vehicle, however the driver made off. A short time later the vehicle – a Ford Mondeo – was spotted again and stopped. The 41-year-old was detained in Alder Close in Bradwell, breath tested and arrested. He was searched and a number of wraps of white powder were recovered.
The 41-year-old was interviewed while he was in custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre and has now been bailed to return to police on October 25, pending further enquiries.
