No further action against man arrested over explosion

Greater Manchester Police will be taking no further action against a man arrested in connection with a fatal explosion in Shaw.

The bail of the 32-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, has been cancelled by police.

Two-year-old Jamie Heaton was killed in the explosion on Buckley Street, which happened at about 11.15am on Tuesday 26 June 2012.

Andrew Partington (born 17/10/1984), formerly of Buckley Street, Shaw, is charged with manslaughter and criminal damage and appeared at Manchester Crown Court via video link today, Tuesday 11 September 2012. A plea and case management hearing is scheduled for 21 November 2012.
