Merseyside: Witness appeal after Shots fired-Kingsland Road Norris Green

Merseyside Police can confirm that is it investigating reports of shots fired at a house in Norris Green this morning.
Officers were called to Kingsland Road shortly before 11.15am by a member of the public reporting hearing several loud bangs.
On arrival they searched the area and found a house damaged by suspected gunshots.

The scene was sealed off and searched by forensic officers and evidence of a firearms discharge was found.
No-one was inside the house at the time and damage to the property is minimal. House to house and CCTV enquiries are being carried out and high visibility patrols have been stepped up in the area to reassure the community.
Detectives from the force’s anti gun and gang crime Matrix Unit are investigating and are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the moments before the shooting to come forward.
In particular they want to speak to anyone who saw two males in dark clothing on a blue motorbike or scooter close to the scene which then left down Faversham Road after the incident.
