Merseyside: Update – Three Arrested Following Drugs Raids In Bootle

Merseyside Police can confirm that a man has been charged following raids in Bootle earlier this week (Monday 24 September).
Lee Francis Williams, 29 years of Somerset Road, Bootle has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A controlled drugs.
He appeared at South Sefton Magistrates Court this morning.
The 26-year-old man and 24-year-old woman arrested on Monday have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Three people were arrested in connection with drug offences in Bootle yesterday (Monday 24 September).
Two men, aged 26 and 29 and a women, aged 24, all from Bootle were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs following the execution of a warrant on Somerset Road.
They were taken to police stations for questioning by detectives.
During the search, officers recovered approximately 10 kilos of suspected Class A drugs along with drug-related paraphenalia including pneumatic presses and moulds.
Area Commander Chief Superintendent Nicki Holland said: “Drug dealing brings misery to our communities and we are listening carefully to residents’ concerns as we tackle the problem. The warrants executed yesterday come as a result of the Force listening to community concerns and acting upon them.

“We will continue to enforce the law to the fullest extent and urge anyone with any information about the supply of illegal drugs to contact Merseyside Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
