Merseyside: Police seek information after armed robbery at Macdonalds

WITNESS APPEAL: ARMED ROBBERY – MCDONALDS, EDGE LANE, LIVERPOOL
Information Appeal – Armed Robbery – Edge Lane
Detectives from North Liverpool are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a McDonalds on Edge Lane yesterday evening (Saturday 22 September).
Officers were called to the restaurant at around 7.45pm to reports that two men had entered the premises carrying a knife and demanded cash. The men left the restaurant with an amount of cash.

It is understood they left on foot, crossed Edge Lane and headed in the direction of Old Swan.
Although uninjured the staff members and customers have been left very shaken following the incident.
The offenders are described as white, of slim build and spoke with local accents. They were wearing black hooded tops with black scarves over their faces.
House to house enquiries are on-going in the local area and CCTV is being examined from the scene
Detective Sergeant John Smedley said: “This was a shocking incident for staff and customers to endure.
“Merseyside Police takes incidents of this nature extremely serious and we are committed to catching the offenders.
“I would urge anyone with information about this incident, particularly those who may have seen two men, matching the descriptions, acting suspiciously outside of the restaurant just before 7.45pm, to contact us.”
