Man sentence to life for murder

Manchester Crown Court: 25yr old Ian Lowe has today been sentenced to life in prison with recommendation that he serves a minimum of 28 years for what the the judge Mr Justice Mcduff called a ” wicked act”
Ian lowe smashed his way in to Leanne Mcnuff home on Mellor Street in Droylsden and stabbed here repeatedly before stamping on here face all done in front of his own 2 year old child.
Lowe then fled to his mothers house in Audenshaw and confessed.The jury heard that Lowe had been in a storny relationship with Leanne since 2006 and was on bail at the time of the offence for assaulting her in the previous month.
In a another sad twist to what is already a sad case Leanne was interviewed about the death by PC Nicola Hughes who was shot in Manchester this week.
