Kent: Four arrested in connection with Strood Robbery

Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have made four arrests in connection with a robbery at a petrol station in Rochester last week.
The incident took place in Cuxton Road, Strood, Rochester on Wednesday, 19 September 2012. Detectives from The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are investigating the crime in which it is reported around £50,000 was stolen.
On Sunday (23 September) the senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Kevin Downard, took the unusual step of naming a man they would like to speak to in connection with the robbery. Following on from this appeal, today officers arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of robbery. He is currently in custody at North Kent Police station.

Yesterday (Monday, 24 September) detectives charged 25-year-old George Brockett with conspiracy to rob. A further two people, a 17-year-old boy from Erith and a 22-year-old Gravesend woman, have also been arrested on suspicion of the same offence.
- George John Richard Brockett, aged 25, of Mangold Way, Erith, has been remanded in custody to appear atDartford and Gravesham Magistrates’ Court on Monday 1 October 2012.
