Sussex: Plea for missing Eastbourne schoolgirl to come home

The family of a 15-year-old girl from Eastbourne are asking her to please return home.
Megan Stammers left her home in Walton Close, yesterday (21 September) and is believed to be in France. Police believe she has gone to France with a man who she knows.
Detective Inspector Andy Harbour from East Sussex CID said: “We are appealing for Megan to make contact with her family who are very worried and miss her.

“Megan was reported missing to us at 12.30pm yesterday after she failed to turn up for school. We know that she crossed from Dover to Calais at around time 9.20 yesterday (21 September) evening. We believe she is still in France and we are in contact with the French authorities.
Megan’s father, Martin Stammers said: “We just want Megan to make contact with us. We are worried and miss her terribly. Please get in touch Megan.”
DI Harbour continued: “If you have any information that could help us with our enquires and you have not made contact with us already then please call 101 quoting serial 679 of 21/9.
Megan is described as 5′ 6”, of slim build, with very long dark brown hair and was last seen wearing a white vest top and a silver necklace.
