September 23, 2012, 6:31 pm

At about 1.10am on Saturday 22 September 2012, police were called to Martingale Court, Crumpsall to reports a man had been injured.

Officers attended and discovered 25-year-old Radoslaw Waclawiak with a chest injury.

He was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time later.

A post-mortem examination has established that the cause of death was a fatal stab wound to the chest.

Radoslaws Grandmother, Halina Kroikowska who lives in Lodzkie, Poland, said:  “Radic went to England to make a better life for himself.

“He was always a good boy and he was a very good grandson.  Radic was only 25-years- old, he was so young, why did this happen to him?”

Radic also leaves behind a 22-year-old brother who lives in Poland.

Two men aged 33 and 34 arrested on suspicion of murder have been eliminated from the inquiry and have been released without charge.

Detective Chief Inspector Philip Reade from the Major Incident Team, said: “A man has been tragically killed and our thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.

“The two men arrested over the weekend have been eliminated from our inquiries and we are doing everything we can to find those responsible for Radoslaws death and bring them to justice.

“A team of detectives are making inquiries and I would urge anyone who saw or knows something about this to come forward and speak to my officers.”
