September 19, 2012, 3:30 pm

Shots have been fired at a van in north Manchester.

Shortly after 1.20pm on Wednesday 19 September 2012, police were called to the junction of Holland Road and Arden Road in Crumpsall following reports of an abandoned vehicle.

Officers attended and found that an Iveco van was on Arden Road and had gunshot damage to the windscreen and a door.

Nobody was injured in the incident and inquiries are ongoing by officers at the scene.

Superintendent Neil Bhole said: “We are at the early stages in our inquiries but I want to stress immediately that nobody has been injured and we have no indication that this is connected to yesterdays tragic events.”
