2 arrested over murder of Crumpsall man

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Crumpsall.
At about 1.10am on Saturday 22 September 2012, police were called to Martingale Court to reports a man had been injured.
Officers attended and discovered a man in his 20’s with a Stomach injury.

He was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time later.
Two men aged 33 and 34 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody for questioning.
Inquiries are continuing.
Detective Superintendent Bob Tonge from the Major Incident Team said: “A man has been tragically killed and our thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.
“This investigation is in its early stages but I would like to reassure the community we do not believe this was a random incident.
“We have a team of detectives working to establish the full circumstances of what has happened and I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time or may have seen or heard something to contact police as soon as possible.”
