Dorset: Mini moto and pit bike seized during operation in Kinson

An operation has been carried out to tackle the illegal use of mini motos and pit bikes in Kinson.
On Saturday 15 September 2012, officers from Kinson North Safer Neighbourhood Team seized two bikes that were being ridden in Millhams Mead Common.
This operation was delivered as a direct result of information provided to Dorset Police by members of the public.

Sergeant Lee Tharme, of North Bournemouth Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Through this operation, we have seized two bikes – a mini moto and a pit bike – which will be destroyed.
“These bikes were being ridden in a nature reserve. Clearly, riding these types of motorbikes was damaging to the environment and the wildlife.
“I would like to thank those members of the public that contacted us and asked us to take action in the area.
“This operation shows that we listen to our communities and act on information they provide us with.”
