Police are appealing for information after a woman was grabbed in St Neots.

The 20-year-old was walking along a footpath through Love’s Farm estate at about 1.30pm on Sunday (September 23) when she was grabbed from behind.

After a short struggle the man ran off. The woman suffered minor injuries.

The man is described as white, in his 30s, around 5’9” to six foot, stocky and was wearing a black thick knitted-style hooded top.

The incident happened on the footpath which runs alongside Fox Brook towards Cambridge Road.

Detective Sergeant Jim Donington said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anyone matching the description.

“It is unclear what the motive may have been, however the incident has left the victim very shaken.”
