Cambridgeshire: Witchford fatal collision update

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Witchford yesterday (Sunday September 1).

The incident happened at 4.20pm on the A142, at the junction with Sutton Road when a blue Ford Fiesta and a gold Hyundai Tucson collided.

I am sorry to say a passenger in the Ford, 35-year-old Sarah Gibbs, of New Barns Avenue, Ely suffered fatal injuries during the collision.

The driver of the Ford, a 17-year-old boy from Ely suffered serious injuries and is currently in Addenbrookes Hospital in a critical but stable condition.

A second passenger in the Ford remains at Addenbrookes in a stable condition.

PC Jason Porter said: “I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision.”
