Police Seek Witnesses to Indecent Exposure

September 24, 2012, 10:36 am

Bedfordshire Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a man exposing himself in Bedford Park on Friday afternoon (September 21).

The incident happened at around 4.50pm when the 28-year-old victim was walking besides the childrens play area in Bedford Park, Park Avenue. The victim saw a man standing next to some bushes between the lake and the tennis courts but when she walked past, she saw that the man was masturbating. The victim told the offender that she was calling the police and then man fled through the bushes towards Park Avenue.

Officers attended the scene and carried out an area search for the offender – who is described as being white, around six feet tall, in his mid to late 30s, of slim build, with short dark hair and wearing a navy blue knitted jumper, blue jeans, black work boots and either glasses or brown sunglasses – but were unable to locate him.

PC Keeley Loughran, who is investigating the incident, is keen to speak with anyone who was in Bedford Park or Park Avenue on Friday and may have seen the offender either before or after the incident.
