Avon & Somerset: Chief Constable Colin Port to hold online chat
September 25, 2012, 2:43 pm
Chief Constable Colin Port will be hosting a webchat to answer questions about policing in your area on Thursday (September 27).
The Chief will be logging on at 6pm and will spend 90 minutes answering questions about policing issues and responding to local concerns. If you have a question you’ve always wanted to ask about the police service generally, or in your area specifically, this is your chance.
Speaking ahead of the webchat, Mr Port said: “I go out with frontline police officers and staff as often as possible. It is a great opportunity to meet our residents and better understand what they want to see from their local policing.

“Holding a webchat is an extension of this work and will give people across the area the chance to ask questions and raise issues important to them. I always enjoy these events and would encourage anyone interested to log on and take part.”
If you want to take part in the chat log on to www.avonandsomerset.police.uk between 6pm and 7.30pm on Thursday September 27. We’ll be publishing a transcript of the chat on the website afterwards so if you can’t make it you can still read about anything discussed during the chat.
