Appeal for missing Worksop man goes nationwide

September 7, 2012, 12:45 pm

Nottinghamshire Police are extending the search for a missing Worksop man

across the country.

It is almost a fortnight since 53-year-old Steven Robert Thomas was reported
missing by relatives on Monday 27 August.

There are concerns about Mr Thomass welfare and his state of mind
following two recent bereavements.

He is believed to be travelling in a silver Nissan Almera, registration number
MK03 SCX.

The vehicle was identified on a camera in Blind Lane in Chester-le-Street,
County Durham, close to junction 63 of A1 (M), at around 1.30pm on Tuesday
28 August. But there have been no confirmed sightings of Mr Thomas or the
car since.

Mr Thomas is described as 5ft 10ins tall, of large build and with very short,
receding hair. He wears glasses, but it is not known what clothing he was
wearing at the time of his disappearance.

Anyone with information as to Mr Thomass whereabouts is asked to
telephone their local police force on 101. The Nottinghamshire incident
number is 682 of 27 August.
