A man has been charged after an investigation into allegations of ‘rogue’ trading.
Frank Mellelieu (born 12/03/1947), of Lodge Street, Accrington, is charged with fraud and being a trader who failed to give a consumer a notice of the right to cancel a contract.
He is due before Trafford Magistrates’ Court on 14 August 2012.
It follows an investigation by police in Trafford and Trading Standards into allegations that on 4 July 2012, a 76-year-old woman of Warley Road, Firswood, agreed to have work done on her roof at a cost of £35 by a trader, who then failed to give the victim standard notice of cancellation and begun the work without permission.
