At around 11.30pm on Wednesday 15 August 2012, an 18-year-old woman was walking along Arrowfield Road when she was approached from behind by three people.
Two of them dragged her to the floor and the third threatened her with a knife before they stole her handbag and phone. All three ran off towards Nell Lane.
The first man is described as being black, in his mid to late teens, of medium build and had short afro hair. He was wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.
The second man is described as being white, wore a white hooded top and black trousers.
The third person wore a Scream style mask, a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.
Detective Constable Daniel Woods based at West Didsbury Police Station said: “This incident has left the victim severely shaken. She feared for her safety as she did not know whether she would be injured in anyway.
“Any robbery is terrifying but this was made even more so after one of the offenders wore a mask used by a character in the Scream films.
“I would ask people to take a good look at the CCTV and if they recognise anyone or were in the area at the time of the robbery, to contact police as soon as possible.”
