A teenager was robbed at a metrolink in Stretford.

At 8.20pm on Thursday 2 August 2012, the 15-year-old was with a friend at Trafford Bar Metrolink when he noticed three men walk towards him.

One of the men asked the victim what he had for him and when he replied nothing, he took the teenagers mobile phone from his pocket.

He was then asked what else he had and was threatened before the offender realised he was being watched by passersby.

All three walked off.

No one was injured.

All three men are described as being black and had their faces covered.

One wore a grey top, black trousers and a blue hat.  The second wore a black top and blue jeans.  The third man wore a black coat, hooded of and grey tracksuit bottoms.

Police Constable Alastair Jones from the Volume Crime Team said: “The victim handed over his phone as he did not know what would happen if he didnt.

“I would ask anyone who was at Trafford Bar metrolink and witnessed the robbery or saw the men walking off, to contact police.”
