A teenager is in a critical condition following a collision in Hyde. 

The incident happened at approximately 6.15pm on Saturday 11 August 2012, when a 17-year-old boy riding a BMX bike collided with a blue Citroen DS3 on Furnace Street, Flowery Field at the junction with Spring Gardens.

The teenager suffered a serious head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a critical condition.

Police Constable Steve Beech from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said; We are investigating this incident on Saturday evening to establish the exact circumstances leading up to this collision, in which a young man has been seriously injured.

“If anyone witnessed this collision, if you saw the blue Citroen DS3 or the teenager on his BMX prior to the incident occurring, please get in touch with us.”
