A pedestrian has suffered serious injuries after a collision in Walkden.
At about 12.35pm on Tuesday 21 August 2012, police were called to Manchester Road following reports of a collision involving a heavy goods vehicle and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 62-year-old woman was walking along the footpath, she crossed the road at the junction of Memorial Road where she was involved in a collision with a blue Ford Iveco, which was travelling in the direction of Little Hulton.

She was treated at the scene and taken to the Salford Royal hospital.
She sustained serious internal injuries, injuries to her shoulder, neck and back, and remains in a stable condition.
The driver of the heavy goods vehicle remained at the scene and was uninjured.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to call the Serious Collision Reconstruction Unit on 0161 856 4745.
