A man is in a critical condition after colliding with a tram in Bury

A man is in a critical condition after colliding with a tram in Bury.

At around 10.30am on Wednesday 22 August 2012, police were called to Radcliffe metrolink, following reports a man had jumped in front of a tram.

On arrival, officers discovered a man was trapped underneath.

He has been taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical.

Inquiries are ongoing and the metrolink going into Manchester from Radcliffe has been temporarily closed.
